SRC Partners with Marcus & Millichap to Create Micro-Market Multivariate Investment Real Estate Analysis

Alteryx platform accelerates the pace of analytics and improves the resolution and delivery of market reports integrating multiple data components

LAS VEGAS, - May 18, 2009 - SRC, LLC, the leading provider of Geographic Business Intelligence® solutions, and long-time customer, Marcus & Millichap, the nation's largest commercial real estate investment services firm, today announced the latest results of their deepening joint development project. Through the use of SRC's Alteryx® geographic business intelligence® platform, Marcus & Millichap has strengthened its ability to rapidly analyze micro-market commercial real estate trends using geospatial evaluations and a broader range of data. The announcement was made at the International Council of Shopping Centers' RECon event, the Global Retail Real Estate Convention, May 17-20 in Las Vegas.

Tracking and analyzing sales trends at the micro-market level has proven too great a challenge for many spatial tools, because they are not designed to handle vast amounts of spatial and nonspatial data together at extremely fast speeds. Marcus & Millichap has been a market leader in conducting macro and micro level real estate analysis for years and approached SRC for a solution to further automate its micro level analysis. SRC's Alteryx will combine and integrate multiple sources of market data for this purpose, but use of Alteryx simultaneously delivers a high degree of flexibility and a dynamic range of analytics for any particular submarket. Building upon this strength of the SRC technology, Marcus & Millichap now has the ability to generate more granular analysis blending more variables faster and more efficiently.

"By further automating our process of integrating multiple data sources to generate an insightful report on a granular trade area with SRC's Alteryx, we will be able to generate more results in a shorter amount of time for our agents and clients" said Hessam Nadji, managing director of research services at Marcus & Millichap. "SRC's Alteryx helps us rapidly tie multiple pieces of information together using dynamic parameters to create unique reports and geospatial representations of the information. Alteryx's remarkable speed has allowed our team of analysts to focus on the meaning behind the numbers rather than spending their time crunching data."

The solution Marcus & Millichap has created using SRC technology also allows great flexibility and control of the view into a submaket's transactions based on varying time periods and comparisons with other submarkets. Marcus & Millichap's enhanced ability to interact with more current market data and produce a wide range of reports for any combination of submarket selections or time periods has convinced it that SRC's technology will support multiple generations of solutions expected to follow this latest effort's initial success.

"Marcus & Millichap's leadership in this market is the result of its expertise, insight and continual drive to break new ground in real estate research," pointed out Dean Stoecker, president and CEO of SRC. "That SRC technology continues to meet and exceed the requirements of such a leader is an indicator of the value we work hard to deliver to each and every one of our customers."

"SRC provides a powerful platform that allows us to build solutions incrementally as our needs change, delivering value through multigenerational implementations that can serve us with increasing cost-benefits over the long-term," added Mr. Nadji.
