Portfolio Explorer Open Source
The Portfolio Explorer Open Source is licensed under LGPL. You can download a bundled source code zip file from here (out of date) or you can directly browse the source code repository. You can also checkout a working copy of the source code by using a SVN client.
There is a mailing list for Portfolio Explorer, you can subscribe to the list and view archives from here.
Geocoder Data Building
A ZIP file is available here that includes instructions as well as folders/files needed to build the street network files underlying the Geocoder (see GEOCODER\OPENSOURCE\GEOCODER_INSTRUCTIONS.doc in the zip file). This is also obtainable via the source code repository listed above.
The latest USPS sourced CtyState.csv (city/state Aliases product) is available here for download in .zip format. The source for data build is located here.
Compiling
To compile the Portfolio Explorer you will need MSVC and a copy of Xerces C++ XML Parser, which you can get from here. The geocoder has been tested with following versions of Xerces: 2.5.0 - 2.7.0.
Runtime datafiles
The geocoding process will need several data files at runtime. You can get these files by using following bittorrent feed or you can get it here.
